I have a new plan for my future, and this seemed like the perfect place to start. I'm going to become a public speaker, and hopefully a successful one.

25% of women in this world are sexually abused. 5% of men are sexually abused in this world. In America it is 40% of women, 10% of men. Why do I care? Not just because that is a horrible statistic, but because I was raped. Don't feel sorry for me. That is not what I want. What I want is to prevent this from happening to others. This is not a joke. It is very much real. We as a people need to raise awareness. If we do this then maybe, just maybe, it won't be seen as acceptable when a grown man brushes against a girls breast on purpose. Maybe it will be acceptable for her to be offended, upset, to tell someone without being seen as too sensitive. Maybe, just maybe, a girl like me will not turn to drugs, alcohol, beer, smoking, and cutting for release, because she will never have been assaulted. Maybe, she will live a happy life.
